Can you believe that Sarah Amelia is 6 and 3/4 months old! Wow – amazing! Last week Sarah’s 6 month well-child check and vaccinations coincided on the same day as the first day of school for Rachel. It would take too much back story to explain the reason that the two big things happened on the same day, but it was an experience..
Anyway, Sarah is doing great! She did have a little bit of an unpleasant reaction to this round of vaccinations, but nothing that was overly dramatic. The doctor didn’t want us to give the baby tylenol unless things were too uncomfortable for her, so she only had tylenol once. Her poor little legs had big red sores at the site of injection, and she did develop a low grade fever that night/next day. However, she rallied very quickly! Love that little sweety.
The doctor is happy with her growth but wanted us to add a third solid-food meal to her daily feeding schedule. Sarah is on track to being very tall but the doctor wanted to make sure that her weight stayed on track. Well, let me tell you, Sarah LOVES to eat! She was a good feeder from the start, but her eagerness to devour anything that hits a spoon is
hysterical. So far, her favorite food is rice cereal with milk and fruit. It’s so funny to watch her eat, because she gets impatient and tries to grab the spoon and starts grunting. LOL. Her other favorites (by category) – turkey and gravy, pears, and sweet potatoes. Her least favorite food – green beans.
I have a feeling she is going to have a disposition for junk food though… On Saturday, she almost stole a waffle fry from my hand. Maybe she was trying to keep her mom’s diet on track 🙂
