I thought that this would be the year that I managed to get family pictures taken BEFORE Christmas so I could include them with family Christmas cards. That means booking a photographer in October and getting them early. No such luck, again.
BUT – I did take several cute “Fall themed” pictures of the girls (in October, hahaha). Below, you will see an array of pictures. For fun, I have posted the not-ready-for-prime time versions.
The first pictures were taken at a pumpkin patch located close to our neighborhood. We always go there to buy a bunch
of pumpkins and get candy (I really hope my trainer doesn’t read my blogs about Halloween and Fall festivals). It also provides several great photo opportunities!
Rachel was not too thrilled to wear this Halloween t-shirt. She thought that it was too hot for long sleeves – ugh! Her shirt was purchased on sale last year,
which is the only time to not spend way to much on holiday stuff. I pointed out that she was lucky to have a Halloween shirt – notice that little sis is wearing a plain romper that doesn’t have any cute Halloween stuff. I simply hadn’t made it to WalMart or Gymboree to buy her something cute…
The next series of pictures were taken quickly before we left for church. I thought that I would snap a few among our various Fall decorations. I will add that I was cautiously optimistic about how they would turn out. I think the “fails” are actually really cute 🙂
In the picture on the right you might notice two wooden pumpkins. Rachel claimed the round one on the left! I thought that was kind of like something me and my sister Sarah would do – claim the pumpkin that most suited our personality.
After several hurried minutes of taking pictures, we finally started to get some pictures that had decent lighting and both girls looking in the same direction. I must say, I was a little emotional when I saw the final product. These precious little girls
shared my DNA – how is that possible! It must be due to a heavy silencing of my not so attractive genes and an up-regulation of their dad’s pretty genes 🙂
